OT lilies - also called "tree lilies", "lily trees". The name of the OT group of lilies consists of the first letters of the names of the older groups: O - from Oriental or Eastern lily and T - from trumpet lily. These lilies have inherited their best qualities from the older plants - huge, wide-open flowers in bright colors from oriental lilies, good growth vigor from trumpet lilies. Many lilies in this group have a light, pleasant scent. Despite its exotic appearance, it is relatively well suited for growing in gardens as well. They need a sunny or slightly shaded place. The soil should be amended, neutral to slightly acidic. When the onions have multiplied while growing in one place, they should be spread. OT lilies are mostly frost-hardy, but for peace of mind they can be covered a little for the winter. They do not need to be dug out for the winter. For the summer, it is preferable to mulch the ground so that the sun does not heat the onions. Plant - like tulips - 3 onions deep. |
